Winter Access Information

Trophy Cabin

One of the beauty’s of Trophy cabin is how easy it is to access. While you have to fly into both Discovery and Fight, most of the journey to Trophy can be made via snowcat leaving only a short ski into the cabin. If you would like to make your life even easier see our helicopter information page for details on how to fly your gear into the cabin leaving you to skin up in ease!

Taking the snowcat 14km / 3200′ up the Spahats Valley to the trailhead at the start of the ascent to the Trophy Chalet costs $400 per trip. The snowcat will carry 12 skiers with gear. The approach to the cabin then involves a climb on skins of some 1700′, and takes between two and four hours.

The ski out of Trophy is equally straightforward. However, you can get a snowmobile assisted transfer to help with packs or snowboarders out of Trophy for $250.00

Discovery and Fight Cabin

Both Discovery and Fight Cabin must be flown into via helicopter. See helicopter information for details. At the end of your trip in Discovery or Fight, you can fly or ski out. However, you must clear skiing out with us before starting the trip, as the route is long and can involve some tricky navigational challenges, particularly in difficult conditions.
