HAPPY
CAMPERS
Hello
Tay and Ian
We have been so busy since we got home from Canada that i haven't
had time to send you an e mail before, but I just wanted to let
you know what a great time we had on our trek in Wells Gray. The
scenery was wonderful, the organization and planning excellent,
the guide -Ken - exceptional, the fellow members of the group
great, and the walking - well I just wanted to carry on walking
and not stop. The guide can make or break a holiday and Ken made
our trip exceptional. The week was filled with so many new good
experiences that our memories will last a long time, and encourage
us to return to Canada.

Hi Tay and Ian,
I
participated in the hut-to-hut trip with the group on
September 15th and wanted to let you know that it was just fantastic.
Despite unexpected weather our guide Ken made the experience a
pleasure for everyone. I'd go back in a minute, particularly if
Ken is guiding. Pat Haim
Hi
Tay!
Our
Wells Gray trip was the start of our holiday -and what a super
start it was. The weather was great for the trip and we thoroughly
enjoyed the varied terrain- and never stopped gawping at the fantastic
scenery- parts reminded us of Scotland, Wales, the Pyrenees and
the Alps- but on such a much bigger scale! We were delighted to
find that the Alpine meadows had not totally finished flowering-
we were particularly pleased to 'meet' the Indian Paint Brush-
in all its colour variations - for the first time. We also enjoyed
seeing 'different' birds from our normal range.
Ours was a very friendly group and we all seemed to 'settle in'
very quickly. Much of this was, of course, due to Ken. We could
not have asked for a better Guide-with so much knowledge- and
experience. He is a great cook and marvelous raconteur too; his
lovely manner and wonderful sense of humour was an added bonus-
he made us feel that we were very special - he is very gifted
as we are sure you know.
Dear
Ian and company,
John
and I had a marvelous trip. It was easy to relax with Steve and
Brenda's leadership, they made a great team. It was an interesting
and diverse group of skiers. We were happy to see and play in
all the new snow.
I will need lots more training and practice with finding peeps
though!
We look forward to recommending your tours to our many friends
who like the backcountry
Dear
Ian & Tay,
just want to let you know we all had absolutely wonderful time
last weekend.
I can't tell you how much we enjoyed it. I always do, it's such
a special place.
.
Thank you again.

Hello Tay and Ian:
Back
home and recovered from a wonderful holiday hike! You have an
excellent operation there in the corner of the park - nothing
left around but footprints, and the cabins are all efficient,
comfortable and attractive. We had a splendid group and Ken, our
guide is perfect for the job, also entertaining, and a good cook.
I was particularly pleased that he, and the group, were happy
to stop frequently to let me catch my breath. This type of adventure
had been my favorite activity for many years, and after8 years
off I wasn't sure I could handle it. Thanks for making it possible
- it was pure pleasure. Perhaps one day I'll take a little canoe
trip with you!.
Regards,
J
Just
a quick note to say how much I enjoyed the 7-day backpacking trip
my mother and I took with Wells Gray Adventures from Sept 8th
to 14th. The food was great, the scenary was splendid and our
guide, was both knowledgeable and entertaining.

Hello
Tay,
We thought we should write to say thank you for our wonderful
holiday. It was everything we had hoped it would be, and much
more! We came away feeling revitalized. Our guide was excellent,
we cannot praise him enough. Also, we were impressed by the how
careful you are of the park environment, a real example of how
low impact tourism should be done.
Hope
all is well. Best Wishes,

Hi
Ian,
We
had a great time. The weather and snow cooperated from some very
fun skiing. Steve and Alex did a super job of keeping us safe
and finding us the powder. It was a bonus that they were a lot
of fun to be with too.
Meals
and accommodation were great - didn't lose any weight on that
trip!
Thanks,
and please pass on our thanks to Tay, Steve and Alex.

Dear
Tay,
I
am writing to tell you what a great time Winnie and I had on the
five day hike in Wells Gray, August 19 thru 24. The scenery was
spectacular, the accommodations pleasant and more than expected
in the mountains, and Heidi was a joy. She was very well organized,
patient, informative and fun to be with. Her confidence really
showed through and made us all feel we were in good care. As you
predicted, the flowers were in full bloom, making the meadows
glow with color.
We
will certainly recommend the trip to all our hiking buddies and
look forward to doing more with you in the future.
Thank
you for doing such a great job. Give our special thanks to Heidi.
See
you on the trail.

Hi
Ian and Tay,
Just to let you know how much we enjoyed the week (from July 15
to 22). Sean, our guide was great. His good humor, energy and
thoughtfulness were incredible. Our group was a terrific combination
of people with the same interests and experiences and physical
abilities, so we were well matched.
. Good luck with your
company

Hello
Ian and Tay!
First
of all I would like to thank you sincerely for the wonderful hiking
trip from July1-7 I would also like to thank you as well for an
equally wonderful week on Clearwater and Azure Lakes with Kim
as our "mama bear" (July 8-13). You and your guides
are doing a very valuable job, and I am very happy that I have
found your pristine park where I have been able to enjoy the beautiful
nature and wilderness, your nicely situated and well maintained
huts, good (and sufficient!) food, great company and the perfect
leadership provided by Sean, Brenda and Kim. With these guys you
have hired yourself a very empathetic, knowledgeable and utterly
enjoyable group of guides who all do a great job! I sure hope
your whole team will still be around for a long time so many people
can enjoy your wonderful service!!
Let
me thank you once again for the wonderful atmosphere, which you
manage to create on your trips. Good luck
Kind regards,

Would like to thank you for one of the best weeks that I have
ever had. J really enjoyed himself as well. Son R who was unable
to make it, is already talking about the three of us for next
time. I sent the pictures that I received back to some friends
who have also expressed an interest Thank you once again, it was
excellent.

Hello Ian and Tay!
L
and I are back at work now, having returned from our seven-day
ski traverse on Saturday night. We both wanted to tell you that
we had a wonderful time throughout the whole week. This is especially
notable when considering the less-than-desirable snow conditions
that have plagued the Northwest and B.C. all winter.
We
also wanted to let you know how instrumental our guides (Sean
M. and Sean K.) were in providing a fun and safe backcountry experience
for us and the rest of our tour group. Despite the wide range
of personalities, abilities, and interests among our members,
everyone came away with nothing but positive memories as a result
of their guiding efforts. Sean and Sean exhibited remarkable patience,
diplomacy, technical skill, judgement, and humor in every situation
that we encountered, including several very tense moments. We
commend them both highly for their efforts and hope you can express
our appreciation to them.
L
and I will be savoring our skiing memories forever but are already
making plans for next year's trek to the Cariboos. See you in
2002!

Dear Tay and Ian!
Thank
you so very much for making my Xmas present to my men such a success!!!!
They are still talking about the wonderful time they had.
And Ian's stories! And I do feel so much better nows, when the
boys go out skiing....just saver, as they know a little more about
the avalanche danger.
Thanks again and again! I hope you had wonderful holidays, too
and I wish you all the best for this 2001.
Yours sincerely. A
Dear
Ian and Tay,
I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed my week of hiking
( August 13-19th). Fantastic wildflowers, moonlit nights, food
beyond my wildest dreams I particularly wanted to make special
mention of our guide, Sean MacKinnon. Sean was an outstanding
leader, every step of the way, and in seven days he simply never
missed a beat. To provide a context for my comments, since 1985,
I have run a small business with a primary focus on Leadership,
Team Building and Change Management I've assisted over 380 client
organizations in the sometimes 'elusive' pursuit of Leadership
Skills and in the course of my work, have seen everything from
the best to the worst ! Sean clearly falls on the high end of
the scale. He demonstrated excellent judgment and keen intuition
in meeting the needs of a diverse group and negotiating potentially
difficult situations. He skillfully managed the often-difficult
balance between competent professionalism and ' friendly accessibility
' with the group. His attention to detail and exceptional organizational
abilities were balanced with agility, flexibility and a sincere
desire to respond to the needs of the group. He was virtually
indefatigable and throughout the seven days he clearly went above
and beyond the call of duty in his commitment to our enjoyment.
Perhaps above all, his quick sense of humor, selflessness and
initiative in taking a personal interest in each individual in
the group ensured a memorable experience for all. You have a terrific
asset in this natural leader.
Thanks
again for a great week. Best of luck for your continued success.
