Cabin Rentals

Self-Guided and Self-Catered Cabin Rental

Our three small lodges are perfect for self guided winter ski groups. The lodges are very easy to operate with propane and solar as the main energy source. The lodges are very comfortable but not too fancy and that keeps the price at a fair level for ski groups.

This area is rightfully famous for its snowpack as we get one of the most consistent snowfalls in BC. The terrain really makes this a classic place to ski. All three lodges are situated in very skiable and manageable terrain: groups can ski around the cabin without big exposure, and more experienced skiers can go further a field and explore the bigger features. All in all, this is a very user friendly place, and that is why 80% of our winter guests are return guests.

We provide full facilities; you bring your own food.

The minimum rental period is four nights, except during the Christmas, New Year, Easter and Spring Break holidays, when it is five.

The maximum group-size possible is twelve.

We permit self-guided groups based on one cabin, as long as the group includes an appropriate number of people with suitable experience of skiing this kind of terrain.

If you would like to travel between cabins, we require you to hire a guide for the traverse.

Snowcat - Trophy Only

Taking the snowcat 14km / 3200' up the Spahats Valley to the trailhead at the start of the ascent to the Trophy Chalet costs $400 per trip. The approach to the cabin then involves a climb on skins of some 1700', and takes between two and four hours.

Helicopter

Helicopter access is available for any cabin, and is the only option for access for getting into the Discovery and Fight Meadow cabins.

You may bring your ski gear, backpack, and one box of food (standard fruit or liquor box) per person.
The helicopter is chartered by the hour: guide costs are as follows:

Group Size Per Person Per Flight
 8 (2 Flights) $200 $800/ Flight
12 (3 Flights) $180 $720 / Flight
DOVETAILS- If you are flying in and another group is flying out, there will be a 25% discount on the overlapped flight.

It is possible to fly smaller numbers or freight-only, but costs will include ferry time from the Clearwater helipad at the hourly rate. We will confirm total costs at the time of booking.

Please note that it is possible to ski out from all the cabins, but that you must clear this with us before starting the trip, as the route is long and can involve some tricky navigational challenges, particularly in difficult conditions.

2009/10 Winter Rental Cost:

12 is the maximum number in the cabin. The Trophy and Discovery Cabins rents for $500/ night.   Fight Meadow Chalet is $400/night.

Guided and Self-Catered Cabin Rental

Fully Guided and Fully Catered Trips for Groups

If you would like us to handle the provisioning and logistics, as well as ensuring that you are able to work the terrain to find every last fresh-powder turn, and feel confident in the safety of your group, we can set-up a fully-guided / fully-catered trip for $175 per person per day (subject to minimum group-size and trip-length)
